Tuesday, January 19 marks the final day of the Specialty Food Association’s annual Winter Fancy Food Show at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Each January, this Comic-Con of the food industry serves as the largest marketplace devoted exclusively to specialty foods and beverages on the West Coast.

This year, some 1,500 exhibitors — ranging from established corporations to independent artisans touted their wares to a sold-out crowd of 18,000 attendees during the three day event. It’s also a great opportunity to spy up-and-coming food trends, and those that frankly just won’t go away (we’re looking at you, kale chips).

Once again, our intrepid band of food writers braved the crowds and covered 215,000 square feet at Moscone to bring you our favorite new delicious finds, plus some that left us scratching our heads.
