- The Sablé cookie is outstanding by its unique butter flavor which will easily melts in the mouth. The French word sablé means "sandy" which is the French term that takes the place of the English "breadcrumbs". The filling is use Rum soaked raisins which gives the smell of rum. It would be nice to have the Sablé cookie with a cup of coffee when enjoying afternoon tea time.
